What responsibility do I have as the “purchaser”?
The purchaser is responsible for obtaining all local, county, electrical, and building permits as well as electrical/gas hook up and water/sewer connections. We can certainly assist in this process if necessary.
Do you have four and five bedroom houses for sale?
Yes – we offer numerous floor plans fitting this description including a 5 bedroom / 3 Bath home that we usually have in our display inventory for your viewing.
Do you have land available?
We work with numerous landowners and realtors………so Yes, we have options for you to consider on land. However, you may see benefits from having access to land, whether it is owned by family outright or space that is rentable.
What manufacturer’s products do you have?
Family Home Center in Douglas, Georgia is an exclusive retailer for Live Oak Homes. The manufacturing facilities are located in Broxton, Georgia, Willacoochee, Georgia, and Waycross, Georgia. So, we are located literally minutes from each plant. Family Home Center of Douglas is your local trusted dealer and retailer for Live Oak Homes.
How long does it take to get a house?
This varies depending on many factors such as product line backlog, our current inventory, home site conditions, weather, etc……………If you purchase a home out of our inventory, delivery could be immediate to approx a week if property is readily available.
How much is the down payment?
If a home is financed, most finance companies/banks require 10% of the sale price as the down payment.
Do you have single section homes available?
Yes – we offer a 14 x 60 with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a 16 x 70 with 2 or 3 bedrooms with 2 baths, and a 16 x 80 with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. If you have any questions not covered above, please call us.
